Went to Vegas Dec 12-17 and stayed at Ballys with 3 buddies. Flight from Toronto was perfect flew with Westjet so got to watch the 3rd period of leafs game and the Calgary game while flying to Vegas and having a few beers. Great way to start a boys trip to Vegas.

Got to Vegas at 1045pm got a cab no problem and cabbie didnt take tunnell after we told him not to so $15 cab ride and we are checked in at 1130pm. Tried $20 trick didnt work she said it was saturday night and she didnt have anything we didnt care view of Paris was fine.

I gotta admit after staying at Imperial Palace the value is so much better at Ballys. The room was huge and was perfect for what we needed it for a place to sleep a few hours here and there and to shower. From my stay in the summer and the hours I played at Harrahs Casinos got the 5 nights for $70 cant beat that. Dropped the bags off in the room one buddy went right to poker room in Ballys won $200 in half hour the rest of us grabbed a bite to eat in restaurant right in Ballys beside the bar near poker room it was all right had a bucket of beer special so that was good enough. After we ate played a few hours of 0.50 video roulette and got hammered. GOOD times. At 4am I had been up for 24 hrs and it was 7am Toronto time so I went to bed for a few hours.

Sunday Dec 13th

Got up at 8am and had a shower and woke up one of my buddies the other two were KO'd they didnt come in till 7am Vegas time and were DRUNK. Headed out around 9ish and went over to the Venitian and got in a 1-2 NL game right away made a $100 after a couple hours and ordered a burger table side which is really cool cant do that back home. Burger was disappointing though because I have had the burger in the Grand LUx and this was not the same.

1130am signed up for the Noon tourney. 123 runners I had a pretty good run played well and had a bad beat to go out 26th when my QQ ran into a flopped Set so bye bye. I love the Venitian though the tourneys are top notch and the staff, waitresses, dealers, managers, drinks and poker room overall is top notch.

Went back to Ballys met up with other buddies at at burger place between ballys and paris waitresses were HOT and the Kobe burger was unreal best burger I have ever had well worth the $$$.

After the burger played at Ballys poker room 1-2 NL. The games here are so juicy very weak play alot of tourists that have very minimal knowledge of hand strengths and any theory of poker. Also I found a large handful of what I assumed were locals that play at Ballys and that are very weak. That being said there were also a handful of obvious experienced players that play very welll here. This night I couldnt get much going played till 3am lost $100 then played a little BJ before bed and made $250 which was very lucky.

Monday Dec 14th

Got up at 8am had a shower and went down for Aces cracked at 9am at Ballys. Played with one of my other buddies had a great time. No aces were cracked for us but I made $470 in the session made most of my money when flopped set on A 10 5 board I had 1010 other guy over played his AK and he gave me his stack. My buddy took the bad beat of the week in this session he had QQ flop comes Q 8 4 they get it all in on the flop other guy has 44 and rivers quads for a $500 pot and then a jack pot for quads to add insult to injury.

We played till late in the afternoon then haeded over to ceasars my one buddy was dying to play there played a 3 hour session broke even then we headed to the bellagio and at at a restuarant over looking the water show something English was the name of the restaurant ??? I think. Food was amazing had some past and a flat break and a beer cost $50 bucks with tip other buddies got some fancier meals $100 a piece but it was all delicious.

After the meal we went back to Ballys played some vidoe roulette for an hour started drinking one buddy went up for a nap. After an hour we went up to the room to get other buddy he had a headache so went to bed (loser) we will never let him live this down then the three of us left went to Imperial for a night of $5 BJ and lots of drinking. We had a blast played for 7 hors or so combined lost less then a $100 and were so drunk couldnt walk back to ballys had to take a cab. The drink service at Imperial is unreal waitress came by every 15 mins at least. So close to 30 drinks a mix of Vodka red bulls, beers, and mixed drinks we were having a blast to say the least and playing like maniacs very lucky we didnt lose alot to be honest. Get back to ballys at 6am and order room service steak and eggs $75 after tip for 3 meals one buddy passed out and didnt eat said it was worth the $25. I recomend a drunk night of $5 BJ to everyone that goes to Vegas with buddies and to break up the grinding at the poker tables it was good times.

Tues Dec 15th

Got up at 930 am and was playing aces cracked by 1030am after quick shower and breakfast at McDonalds $1 menu definate + EV for the dollar menu. No aces cracked again played at Ballys for most of the day didnt get much going headed for dinner ate at Ellis Island wish i knew about this place before what a deal and right behind Ballys will be a go to place for future trips. After dinner played all night at Ballys with one of my buddies the other two went to the Rhino with my one buddies two friends from online that were playing in the 5 diamond at Bellagio so lots of money to say the least and they dropped alot of cash.

My one buddy got scammed though he couldnt find the other guys after the back room and the stripped told him the other guys had left in the limo so my buddy was like shit guess I will take a cab back to ballys. Bad Idea. Gets in the cab at the rippers tells the guy Ballys he takes him to some industrial area and gets out and tells muy buddy come on come on this is a great place they will take care of you. So my buddy gets out and they go in an office type place and its $200 to get it my buddy is hammered and pays the $200 like an idiot he gets in this cubicle girl comes in with gloves on and gives him a hand massage hahahahahahaha and keeps asking for more money to "take care of him" he declines after 15 mins of this my buddy wont budge no more money this giant black guys comes in and tkaes him out back in an ally. My buddy thinks hes a goner for sure. 10 mins later a Cab pulls up out of no where and takes him back to Ballys. What a scam. GOOD STORY though. Is this something you Vegas residents know about ?????? All guys if you go to rippers DO NOT get in a cab by yourself just in case.

I played at Ballys till 4 am was so tired from lack of sleep and all the drinking I played really bad and lost $200.

Wed Dec 16th

Up at 10am grabbed some Mcdonalds $1 menu then went to caesars shops and bought the wife some clothes and a purse so she keeps supporting my vegas trips. After that played in the Noon tourney at ceasars $80 I think good value 85 runners came in 17th after AK going to down to KQ all in preflop KQ flops a full house. after tourney we all went to Paris for buffett got it for free from our play for the week. It was delicious crepes were awesome. After dinner we played some roulette and one last short poker session broke even and shut it down got some sleep before early fligth.

Left Vegas with $80 more then I came with after all expenses and food so it was a very good trip. Spent more money on food and gifts then I wanted but what ya gonna do. Took about a week to recover when I got back but it was worth it gotta love Vegas. Hope to be back in March for AVP Meet but wont know till a week before if that will be possible.
