Done with chemo trip
Wife diagnose with Lung and bone cancer in April, after last treatment told me she wanted to go back to vegas, dont have to tell me twice, I booked $39 airfare on allegiant, out of Cedar Rapids. Go room at Flamingo, and set. Oct25-29.Like Flamingo, alot easier to get around pushing her wheel chair. She played video poker, I played some of that with her, but I play mostly live poker, did get into free tourny at flamingo for 4 hrs of play on day, got down to 10 and split the $1000, so $100 for $5 entery fee, for x-tra chips, Won a little at O'sheas, and Bills also, played at table with Tony, on Tuesday nite,at Bills. Never caught him on a machine!NO $100
Went downtown one nite, played at Binions, lost $50, played at Golden nugget even, to cold to go out and watch the show.
Golden Nugget is not a wheelchair freindly place..at all, if wife able to go back, I will not even try Nugget again....Binions, Flamingo,Bills and Harrahs, ok...Golden nugget, O'sheas, and IP not. Never gave this subject a thought before, was a wake up call to see what some have to deal with every day...
Bills is a good low roller no limit game, if you are a patient person, I did the best there..as you all know the 2-4 games are hard to winn at..I didnt plan on plying any serious poker this trip, more of a Hubby and Wife trip, Hopefully not are last, but not looking real good, married 19 years in Dec, maybe a trip for anv....
Hope everything works out for you and your wife....
Best wishes to you and your wife. May you have many more trips together.

Take good care of your wife and enjoy the time that you have left with her. I hope that you both have a long time together and can celebrate many anniversaries in Las Vegas. Good Luck.
I'm not a religious person, but god bless the 2 of you. Fingers crossed for you.

Thoughts and prayers your way from a fellow 19-year type ... and many more to come for us all!
Best wishes to your wife and to you. Best of luck to your both. While it is not luck in our game - you are playing in a bigger game and all the luck cannot hurt. God bless you both.
Thanks for the report. Give that C a bad beat and have a long happy life together.
Well we did not make it to Vegas in Dec for Anniversary, wife was to sick, She passed away last week, She fought it 11 months, the Dr. very surprised she lasted as long as she did. Radiation really burned her, back, chest, head, it is a nasty type of treatment, She is at peace now, I may plan a Vegas trip for a couple weeks from now, Need to just Veg out, thanks for support before...
I'm very sorry to hear about your loss. Glad you got to spend some quality time with her before she left.

Cancer treatment sucks from what I've seen, and it takes a lot out of a person, even those who beat the cancer. I'm sorry for your loss, but glad your wife is no longer suffering through the treatments.
Sorry to read of your loss. My condolences to you and your family.
I am sad for your loss gator. Married 19 years? That is a blessing. Quite an accomplishment in these times. You both must be amazing people to stick to your commitment to each other so long. I hope you are able to find some veg time (or peace) soon. Tabby
I'm sorry Gator. I know it's not easy to lose a loved one, never has been. I am truly sorry for your loss. The best thought I can think is that she's not suffering anymore and that you will see her again, I promise that.
Gator - I am sorry for your loss and wish you and your family/friends the best. Thank you.
I'm very sorry for your loss.
I am so very sorry for your loss. God bless.
