I really don't know where to begin. This was my first time at an LA Casino. They should just call them card rooms. At least I got a new player deal so the valet and resort fee were waived. Calling this a resort is ridiculous. Here are the low points.
They have an app that lets you see games and sign up, but could not get it to work, lady at Casino Services could not get it to work, and the support email has gone unanswered for 3 days.
Guy at the desk calling players to tables was incoherent between his mumbling and his accent. Never a consistent presence there as they rotated chip runners through it.
When they open a new table, they call everyone on the list, even if it is more than the 8 seats available. Get there fast or you have to go sign up again.
Got a seat and waited over 15 minutes before everyone got chips and the dealer got her kit. Player in seat 2 actually grabbed the manager walking by because we had been waiting so long.
Buy ins are only 20-80 for 1/2 and 80-120 for 2/3 and all $1 chips. Rake is $2 at the start and goes to the moon from there. The low buy ins and dollar chips makes everyone play out of their racks and wastes time trying to rake in a massive pile of chips at the 2/3 game.
Dealers don't have control of the table. Allowed a guy to coach his girlfriend during hands. Allowed table talk between players in different languages, one time with the dealer actually joining them. Let one guy berate another for taking some time to make a decision.
No dedicated chip window for runners.
Maybe the games play better at higher stakes, but it's the operation of the room that will keep me from playing here again.
