Ahhh, another greedy poker room enters the fray. Not unlike the other garbage room in Cypress (Doghouse), this place rakes the pot..and they rake it hard. ~15-20% is way too much and the dealers try to be sneaky about it. I don't know why. I'm the only one out here it seems calling these places out for their greedy vig take.
FYI: all LEGITIMATE establishments that can legally rake the pot (even online poker rooms) rake ~5%...*maybe* 6% and with a hard cap. Vegas, Louisiana, El Salvador...all of em. It's not even legal here in TX. These (and the other) bozos are going to end up pushing legislators to close the seat-fee loophole and thus, ruin poker for everyone.
If they actually DID just take a small "draw" (not based on the pot value) like they all say that they do, it wouldn't be quite so bad. But they do not. I IMPLORE YOU, Houston poker donkeys: WATCH THE DEALERS WHEN THEY RAKE. Nobody is good enough to beat the field AND the house when the vig is 3X to 4X the standard. Long term, all players are shafted by this level of greed.
Stick to the hourly seat fee establishments.
