I really tried to like this poker room as it is convenient to my house, but in the 50 years I have been playing poker, this is easily the least friendly poker room I have ever encountered. I have been hectored about medicines I bring to the game, having a coffee and a water, and having an umbrella- they even refused even a place to check my umbrella, just to give a few examples.
I encountered outright hostility for suggesting they put pads on the drop boxes so that players in the 1 and 10 seats don't wrack their legs on the sharp, tempered steel edges ( not to mention the dealers. ) One floor man actually told me that they don't care whether one hurts themselves on the boxes or not.
Fact is, I find derby Lane Poker Room so noxious that I no longer even play in the free rolls there.
You'll be doing yourself a big favor by playing anywhere else.
