While the room is beatiful and the tables are great and have built in shufflers, it is very cramped and clostrophobic. The lighting is not so good and it can get very hot in the small space. It is even kind of hard to get around full tables and get to your seat. But like I said, the room is beautiful.
With the exception of the locals, this poker room is full of people with money who think nothing of losing. If you wait for a good hand here, it will pay off.
The dealers at the Golden Nugget are top notch. They are personable, friendly and very good at what they do. They don't take any crap from the disruptive players and make sure everyone is treated fairly.
cocktails come around often and are good quality, not watered down.
This category would have gotten an excellent but for the fact that on this trip, we had a problem with the overnight manager. I think his name is Keith possibly, big guy. Was extremely rude when we were cashing out. We have never had this experience before at the Golden Nugget. The night guy, Nathan is excellent and always takes care of you. I'll have to chalk this one up to having a bad night for that manager and not assume it's always like that with him.
play poker for 4 hours and ask for a food comp. they give you a $10 comp ticket you can use at the buffet or grill. only downside is you have to ask for it.
