I didn't play in a tournament, so I can only speak to the cash game room. I enjoy it every time I go there. The chairs are comfy, and the atmosphere is relaxed. It is a smaller room, so it doesn't get super loud, which is nice. The vibe is good. Losers leave quietly. Some of the old veterans get a little pissy when a young guy like me beats them, but that is to be expected.
These veterans in downtown are a force to be reckoned with, but I learned a lot from playing with them. I suggest starting out conservative, and getting a feel for the table.
All dealers were very good at what they do. Some are friendlier than others.
I mean, I've seen hotter cocktail waitresses before, but they are adequate at the job they do.
No problems with management.
I played for a while and experienced none of the above.
