The Graton poker room has some friendly staff but the poker room is poorly managed and not well kept.
I've been here now 10 times for tournaments and live play. While the room is very large and welcoming, there is virtually no management and its always very dirty. During the last visit for their Sunday 10am Bounty tournament, there were 4 tables in play. 2 of them had moved on to the next level blinds and antes and the other two spent more than half of the round playing the prior level. There was one lady "running" the tournament but she was either gone or unavailable most of the time and the dealers were doing there best to manage the entire tournament on their own.
Today, when I arrived for another tournament, there were old starbucks cups on the ground, lime wedges from the night before stuck inside the cup holders. It's just unfortunate that a casino this size has such little concern for their poker room.
The problem I find with most Casino poker rooms is they seem to have this idea that the poker room only generates money by itself and poker players only provide them with their rake and tournament fees. What they never seem to see is all the poker players who came just to play poker will go out on break and dump a hundred bucks or whatever on black jack, slot machines, and the restaurants.
With that being said, it has so much potential but it needs empowered management to improve.
