This is the only poker room for 100s of miles (AKA the only game in town), and the room is getting better. Gone are the days of machine-only poker. Dealers are friendly and competent. Action is good. They were a bit short-handed the week between Christmas and New Years (better planning would be nice since many have that week off), but I never had to wait more than 20 minutes for a 1-2 NL game.
The downside: the chips are REALLY dirty and stick together - both the cash game chips and the tournament chips. And the beer selection in the room is nothing more than the usual swill. In this day of craft beers, an effort should be made to carry something decent (Sweetwater 420 would be an ideal candidate).
Would love to see some high hand jackpot or something to generate play other than the game itself.
Overall, so long as you set your expectations that this is not Vegas, it's a good weekend destination for those of us in Atlanta that have no other choices.
