An honest first impression review of Best Poker

So I went to the grand opening of this room, certain aspects are 5 star and certain aspects are 1 star so I split the difference and went with 3 stars. To get into detail...

The room itself is spacious and clean and the staff is very friendly and accommodating across the board, this was certainly a hospitable room and deserves 5 stars for this.

Dealers - 80% of the dealers are consummate professionals that I've seen dealing at other rooms and know what they are doing. There were several dealers who were way more novice...However we had one dealer that was clearly completely inexperienced. He never washed the cards which drove the lady to my left insane, his riffles weren't riffles as piles of 5-10 cards stuck together every time he shuffled - if you want to call it that. He was nervous and clearly a novice but needs way more training time before being thrown into the fire.

A much much much bigger problem I had with one of the dealers was showing player favoritism. This dealer, who I can only assume was experienced due to him knowing at least one player at my table tried to hold his friends cards after his friend was up from the table after both cards being dealt out. Now every other dealer had instantly mucked peoples hands if they weren't there when the cards were dealt, as they are supposed to do. This one dealer however decides it's ok to hold his friends cards in one of his hands and upon his friend returning to the table late after action had started he pushes the guys hand back to him! I look at the dealer and say that's a dead hand dude to which he responds "that's not how we do it here" to which I respond "well tell that to the last 5 dealers who were doing it the right way... I'm just looking for consistency especially on opening day" ... the dealer looks at his buddy and apologizes to him! - and mucks his cards. If you don't believe this happened Best Poker review the footage it was at table 12 and it involved the 7 seat shortly after he moved to table 12 and a slender black dealer wearing a mask shortly after he moved to the table roughly around the time of close of registration. There is absolutely no place for this kind of stuff and of all the things that I saw opening day this was the one that gave me the ickiest feeling and was a horrible look for your room to anyone at my table. Dealer score is a 3 only because most of the dealers were very good.

Chair score is also a 3 these chairs weren't as uncomfortable as folding chairs but certainly more uncomfortable than... comfortable chairs.

Their tournament director score is a 1. With 41 players left in the tournament they refused to break to 5 tables insisting that 5 tables of 7 and 1 table of 6 made more sense even after we pointed out to the td that you can just have 4 tables of 8 and 1 table of 9, he said it's because there was "an uneven number" - clearly this guy had never run a tournament before but his odd justification and the fact he wouldn't change his stance says a lot about his experience level running events. My table cringed and joked about it for a while until we lost a player and the td could now make 5 even tables of 8. Smdh.

Their promos are also really strange. They offer these really weird promos which is good in spirit but really don't make a lot of sense and affect action in weird ways. I won't score these because some super rec players seem to like them and more experienced players seem to think they are ridic, you'll just have to judge for yourself.

Overall with better management and leadership this room has potential. But after seeing their responses to completely valid criticism on Facebook it seems as if they are taking a "we know better" approach even when they clearly don't. This will be their downfall imo. Instead of listening to players they will stay stubborn and believe they know better when anyone with any long term poker experience can see otherwise.
