The new layout is amazing. The owners really went all out with the new room. It's massive! But they didn't pile tables into the larger space. It's the most spacious room I've been to in the country and I've played everywhere in Vegas, Oklahoma and a few places in California. Exceptionally comfortable - even the new chairs have been upgraded from the old room and they are fantastic. Overall, I highly recommend The Lodge as your go-to poker room in Austin. Not only for the room itself, but also the friendly staff. It's 100% the reason why I've chosen to be a consistent reg at The Lodge.
Side note: They have one of the most ENTERTAINING LIVE POKER STREAMS IN THE COUNTRY! It's an absolute blast to watch, and if you haven't, I recommend catching the next episode on Mondays/Wednesdays/Saturdays at 8pm CST.
Only thing I would add to improve the experience are promos for the players. It would be nice to see some more free time - although they do offer free time from 6am-11am (versus their normal $10 seat fee for cash games).
Maybe for x amount of hours played a discounted hourly rate or something along those lines would be cool. But literally the only suggestion for this amazing poker room.
