I agreed to meet a buddy for the Wed night no rake tourney couple days ago, the first time I'd returned here to play since the covid issue and reopen. Used to play here frequently enough. We are both dealers at local rooms and so are familiar with face covering protocols that are in place. I was amazed, almost to the point of aggravation over how non enforced this room is currently with their regular clientele using masks properly. It literally felt like several of the players just didn't care at all for their safety, much less the thought that they are breathing on everyone around them, wearing masks under their nostrils, barely covering the mouth, and about every other way you can not wear it correctly. Staff, dealers and floor, not a word. It was really kind of uncomfortable to me, knowing the requirements in a room and that we are to enforce those rules. So while I'm not one to complain, I feel it important to post that as a player, if you are high risk or spend any time around folks you care about who are, at least currently, this is not the best choice you can make for a room to play in. I did question staff as I left about it and it was kinda shrugged off and not really seemingly a concern. I like the room, they stay pretty busy, I know some of the dealers personally, but this visit was not good, and unless that scenario changes I won't be playing there.
