Some rules are followed strictly when it's stupid. Eg. can't rack up your chips and play more than one hand. Even in limit. So if you have more than one rack and you are ready to leave, you'll end up hogging a seat after you sit out more often than not. I like to rack up 3 or 4 hands before the big blind comes around so I can leave when the moment is right. At this place, as soon as you start loading a rack, you have one more hand dealt and then you are out.
Any chips in your hand go in even if you intend to bet just some. NOw I understand technically it is a rule, but I have never seen it enforced in cash before this place. And here it is only enforced when the dealer feels like it.
When I moved to Sarasota I tipped my usual $2 to $5+ per hand. Now it's $1 I am just sick of the bs from the dealers.
