The two big competing poker rooms in the Palm Beach County/North Broward area are the Isle at Pompano Park and PBKC. The Isle is a beautiful facility with neo-modern design (somewhat like the Red Rock in Vegas), so I figured when they closed the downstairs poker room for a week and a half for renovations, they were going to class the place up.
Boy was I surprised when they reopened. The best description for the design style is "clown puke." I've always been impressed with the way they have handled promotions, and knowing their clientele. So they're probably smarter than I am and there's some reason for this monstrosity.
But it's the ugliest thing I've seen in a gaming environment since 1980s Vegas.
