I checked out the Red Rock for the UFC Hall of Fame Game and was very surprised. I heard mixed reviews about the room but I have no idea why.
First, you're going to get a good and challenging game. The room is bigger than I expected and in a pretty decent spot in the casino. So pretty much you're going to get a solid game if you go. Obviously, the guys running the room have made a pretty good marketing push and have gotten some quality players in there.
The room is near a large bar (always a plus) and there's decent food nearby too. So if you want to step away you don't have to go far. The servers did a decent job and always treated players well.
I think one thing that sealed it for me was the dealer I had that night. Guy's name was Colby and he was outstanding. Dealt a clean game and kept things entertaining without going over the top. He's one of those guys you hope you get at your WSOP table because he's going to do a great job.
I've now become a regular at Red Rock because of my visit and will always be a fan if they keep it up.
