brand new facility. We were there opening day. Beautiful tables, LOTS of room. Interesting to note that unlike any other poker room I've visited, this one had bathrooms RIGHT THERE so you didn't have to cross the @#$% casino to go potty.
Better than average competition. Most of the people at my table certainly knew what they were doing. Looked to be mostly locals. Given that this place is VERY out of the way (got lost trying to find it), I expected that.
very good dealers. No mistakes other than an one time dealing a card to someone who had gotten up to go to the bathroom. Redeal fixed that easily. Very personable types. One guy is a dead ringer for Dennis Leary. (He's even from Boston.) Unlike some other rooms, these dealers kept their eyes on their own table at all times.
There was AT LEAST one cocktail server in sight at all times. Darned beautiful ones, too. I only ordered water so I can't comment on the drink quality. Based upon what I overheard, they didn't make any mistakes.
Room seemed to be professionally run, but... They weren't paying much attention to the 2-4 tables and some seats stayed vacant a long time when there were lots on the waiting list. This could have been forgivable except that the 2-4 tables are RIGHT UP FRONT. Other than that, great. Plasma screen over the desk continually flashed available games AND waiting lists, so it was easy to tell where you stood and about when your turn would come up.
no experience with this at the Red Rock. I did, however, notice signs promoting a varity of jackpots.
