Contrary to what is shown here, free parking for all ResortsWorld Rewards card holders is scheduled to be history as of June 1. Upper-tier card holders will still get it. I asked specifically if poker players would be accorded validated parking (as they are at other high-end Strip rooms) and the answer from the front office was an unequivocal "NO". Doesn't appear RW wants to provide an incentive to make regulars out of drivers.
My prediction (and just mine alone) is the poker room space might be being looked at for some other use and poker at RW may be gone by year-end. No summer tournament or enhanced regular tourney pools appear to be in the cards.
I hope I'm wrong, because RW is a nice room and relatively easy to get to w/o getting into the messier parts of Strip traffic. The poker room is convenient to parking. I was hoping RW would stake its claim to downtown players, F-bleau, and current Wynn/Venetian players who wanted an easier room to get to if driving. I was starting to ramp up my tournament play there, but paid parking ($18 per-entry, not per day) would definitely start nibbling away at my expected profit playing there. If I get knocked out after 3 hours at noon tourney and want to go somewhere else for 4 hours until the 7pm, that adds up to $36 in parking. No thanks.
Drink service can be sporadic. Ordering delivered food from various Famous Foods street eats outlets via poker room kiosk is great. One more TV on the wall in front of the private rooms would help viewing.
Another recent change (not a big deal) is the evening tournament went to $200 (from $160), but the payout guarantee also went up to $5k. Both entry and guarantee are the same for noon and 7pm tournaments now.
