Live play is good considering most of the players are retirees and are conservative in their play. More action is to be had after 5pm and on weekends.
Some comments suggest Harrahs is a better place to play poker. This simply is not true. The Riverside always has a game. Harrahs room is dark several days a week.
If you want tournament action, talk to the floor people in the poker room. Sign up ahead of time and you will have no problems. Walk in 5 minutes before tournament time and likely you will be placed on an alternate list.
Cocktails are complimentary and not conditioned on the color of the players card you carry (unlike Harrahs). The cocktail waitresses are friendly and efficient. However, they will not over serve you.
All in all, this is a very good poker room. These comments are made by a snowbird player who has played in a lot of poker rooms around the United States.
