My previous review was written during my first night visiting Saracen's Poker room. I've played at least 3 times a week for two months now and I'd like to re-review for the potential new comer.
In order to quickly open and fill the void that was Central Arkansas' professional poker room options Saracen opened thier room less than half complete. In spite of that the area is well appointed, maintained, had private cashier and drink service area. When complete there will be 11 tables, and alot of our waiting issues talked about in these reviews are direct results of Covid requirements reducing to 6 players per table, not the fact that currently there are only four.
My previous review mentioned a floor manager run a muck...he was terminated, I never saw him again. Handled quickly and appropriately in my opinion.
Since that incident I've seen a few unruly players up too long on drink too strong acting out, disrupting play, etc. Each incident has been handled professionally, appropriately, and in a fashion comparable to any poker room or tournament I've ever witnessed schinanigans being handled in.
One aspect I find most appealing is that when I'm playing at Saracen's poker room, I'm far enough from home in little rock to be considered for honey do's or I need you's, but close enough to get to a problem should it arise at home in short order.
I have found the travel time to be 39 minutes on average on as good a freeway as Arkansas has to offer (we'll save that forbanother review entirely)
I've clocked in at work, drove down and played the early high hand hours returned home, clocked out at work, eaten dinner kissed the kids and made it back for the evening promotional hours only using 1/3 tank of gas upon returning home, joking about the work thing😉
The drive is just long enough to get your head clear and then you're there.
Last review may have addressed some newer weaker dealers, its a new place that happens, happy to report that they are doing better and all dealers good or in a learning curve are courteous and helpful there's no doubt they'll have a great team when the jelling finishes and everyones up to speed.
Actions great, players great, those few that have been obnoxious or trouble have been removed in a coordial manner indicative of a professional establishment.
If you live in Central Arkansas and play poker, it would be a mistake to overlook Saracen's poker room. It's close, growing, professional, and they built it just for us, you really feel that they are glad you are there the moment you arrive.
Recomend getting Poker Atlas App to reserve spot on wait list to reduce wait time I've never waited more than 30 minutes since doing so.
Thank you everyone responsible for operating this poker venue I'm glad it's here and here to stay, not too close nor too far away.
