I went to play 1/3 NLHE yesterday and it was a great experience! The staff was very friendly and helpful! They let you know they appreciate your business when coming here. Also, the location is highly visible and very safe. I did not feel at all worried about going to my car in the dark after cashing out.
The crowd is diverse with people of every color and background from ages 21-75 all playing together and getting along!
I played for 2.5 hours at the 1/3 table, and there were a lot of big pots. Largest pot I saw was around $1,400 which is great when the table buy-ins range from 100-500. Raises pre-flop were regularly $15-25, so I’d recommend buying in for at least 200-300 because the 100 minimum stack can go away really fast.
The seat rental fee is a great deal, especially during happy hour, when you consider the fact that the house takes NO rake at all from the pot when you win a hand.
There are some newer dealers working, but management reminds them that people are paying to sit there and ensures they keep dealing at a quick pace to maximize the players’ seat rental fee. When there was a question about whether or not I checked or went all in, they got management to the table and made a fair decision.
I will be back sooner than later!
