Nice place to play - Beginners can win here!!

After reading some of the recent reviews, it sounds like a couple people may have been rubbed the wrong way and decided that they do not want this place to succeed. I have had minimal contact with the owners and management and they are ALL customer experience driven.

There is no over excellence in the dealers but they are all above average and have enjoyable personalities.

Their business model definitely looks like a rake and I suspect that it is due to their transparency in their separate PLO and HE jackpots in addition to their very generous monthly player appreciation freerolls that they are able to do this.

They always have security that will happily walk us to our cars. It is also located in a high traffic so that makes for a lot of security in itself.

I would say that the competition is average on regular nights and below average on some night so novices and good players both stand a decent chance to win money here. They also do a decent bonus for bringing a new player.

They are surrounded by some very good restaurants, compared to them I would give their food an 8 out of 10. Compared to other rooms where I have played I'd give the food a 9-9.5, the last 1-.5 is reserved because there is no private or semi-private place to eat. The whole floor and bar is an open area.

They used to have very cheap freeroll and $20 buyin tourneys almost daily which drew more players but have since changed the tourneys to $100 which from the looks of it has a different player pool. My experimental suggestion to any managers or owners who might read this review would be to try a month or two of launching both daily tournaments at the same time. As a player, if I got knocked out of a tournament, I would be more inclined to stay and wait for a cash game to start if there seems to be a likelihood that the blinds are about to drive more action and cause a lot of players to bust out. Action drives action...Another suggestion would be to actually reduce the monthly player appreciation tournament, or cap it at 10 ok 15k. I suggest dividing the difference by way of a hourly or daily giveaway to players or a single player. I like a hourly exact hand bonus even better...(for example, for one hour the first person to hit a straight in to the seven in HE wins while the first person with a 7 high flush in PLO wins)

I would like this place to succeed mostly because they would be a good example for other rooms on how much player appreciation is actually appreciated by players.
