A Wonderful Place

The room looked a bit worn, but in good shape. The atmosphere, however more then made up for it. From the management to the somewhat grumpy lady in the cage to the dealers to the mother and daughter team working the gift shop, this is a place with a boatload of character. There was plenty of room and it was comfortable.

The competition was average or a bit easy with a funky collection of players. There were a cople of college kids, several locals and other assorted people playing.

Our review of the room is helped by the fact that we did well here, but the character of the place would have shined through even if we did not.

These guys really knew what they were doing. Also, most had been with Binion's for some time and were characters themselves. They added to the fun of the game and also recognized who might need a little reminder if it was their turn to act. There was one (George I think), that I wished I could have stayed around until the end of the shift, bought him a beer and talked about the old days, but alas....

The drink service was OK. Not the fastest on the planet, but not the slowest either.

Management was fine- quick and helpful.
