The room exuded a classic "Old Vegas" feel. The tables were a bit worn but it just fit with the image for me. Autoshufflers kept everything moving. There wasn't a huge dose of noise from the casino and the deli/restrooms were conveniently nearby.
There was a mix the whole time I was there. A lot of locals looking to make an easy buck but the majority of the tourist players were average to good. A few outright fish but not as many as on the strip. This was 2-4 limit but I observed a lot of the NL players and think that it translates to them as well.
Very knowledgeable, personable dealers with very few mistakes. Two misdeals over 12 hours of play with an exposed card here or there. Dealers were very good at dropping the rake when short-handed and even put it at no rake when we were four handed without player prompting.
The cocktail service was very up and down. Sometimes an hour would pass between visits and then it would be every ten minutes. Dealers would simply holler if a player needed something and generally a waitress would appear.
I never had a wait but lists seemed to be managed well. Frequent announcements were made about open seats or calling players. There were several episodes over the two days I were there that were handled fairly efficiently by management. Several NL players got into a @#$% match and it was effectively quenched. One abrasive player was asked to rack and go.
Can't beat $2/hour. Easy swipe in and swipe out system. No high hand or bad beat jackpots but then again no jackpot rake.
