10 seat tables with sufficient elbow room. Available drink holders. Binion's is an experiance everyone should try at least once. The tounament only had 34 & 46 players the Wednesday and Thursday I was there. They are filming a new show on WGN there called "Cash Poker" and also the "Ultimate Poker Challenge" while I was there on January 11th, 2007. You are able to easily get a seat in the stands behind the players and watch play on two tv sets on the sides that showed the flop, turn, and river cards. I was able to shake hands with Dan Harrington, Todd Brunson, and Hoyt Corkins among others who were happy to sign a quick autograph after play was over at midnight. Players were about 70 % tourists with the rest average locals in the 2/4 limit hold'em that I played. Easy room to make money at in the 2/4 limit if you play tight aggressive. If you get quads and it goes to a show down or not you get your chioce of a white or black Binion's hat not available for sale.I got one for my quad 4's and saw at least 6 other ones on people's heads around the room the night I played there.
Average competition with plenty of players playing hands like : anything King, Queen, or Jack suited who will chase flush draws and not lay down top pair to the end. 5 or 6 to the flop but usually only 2 or 3 see the turn chasing second pair or draw. Plenty of limpimg with Ace anything. Maybe two real good players at each table but nothing to be feared if you play well.
Excellent, no mistakes and would nicely but firmly warn players for exposing cards accidently or not while folding them.
She spoke English fairly well, wasn't very reliable, and skipped players as they spoke to them giving them their order more than once. Beers came in a bottle , nice.
No problems, answered questions, and were very helpful.
$ 2 an hour comps while playing. You also get "Binion's Player Points" for use if you sign up for their card and are playing slots or poker for easily made free coffee mugs, t-shirts, hats, and a nice black jacket. Only problem, only small and medium shirts and no jackets available while I was there in Mid January 2007.
