I was torn between 2 and 3 chips, but ultimately landed on 3.
Let's start with the pros.
First, if you play on a Saturday, pots can get pretty big at 1/3 no-limit; Boston seems to be a pretty call-happy city.
Second, the dealers, brushes, and security were doing the best they could.
Third, parking is pretty easy, and the Casino North elevators deposit you straight into the poker room.
Now for the cons.
First, I'm going to jump on the bandwagon saying 10% up to and including $10 is ridiculous. I wouldn't be surprised if that was the highest rake in the world.
Second, there are clearly not enough dealers and tables; the waitlists were unbelievably long on 1/3, 2/5, and even 5/10.
Third, drink service was close to nonexistent; I ordered a drink but never received it. Other players at my table saw the waitress write down my drink order, but to my recollection, she didn't come back.
I hope management takes the time to take this feedback into consideration when making decisions for the future.
