Last reviewed the room nearly a year ago when they first switched back to live dealers. Returned last week and there have been some minor changes to the room - TVs have been rearranged and the bad beat jackpot indicator has been replaced. Still noisy in the center of the casino. Biggest surprise was as from beginning of July they no longer offer 2-4 limit! 3-6 limit is the entry limit game and I believe 1-3NL. Very surprising for a low-rent room - I fear their pretensions might outstrip their client-base. Doubly surprising as the stripper was preparing herself for the weekend strip poker session.
Played 2-4 limit mid week - just before the change in limits. There were 5 solid players, 3 loose-passive players and one who would call practically any bet.
Mixed lot. Some efficient and personable, others not so.
Speed of service was much better than my previous visit, but still only average. Waitress very polite.
Midweek visit was poor. Turned up at the podium to find it unmanned with a line. Waited around 10 minutes until brush turned up - I think he was dealing in a tournament.
Second visit arrived with 5 buddies and asked to play 2-4 limit. Was told they no longer offered the game. We asked if, as there was 6 of us, they would open up a 2-4 limit table for us. He went away for 30 seconds, came back saying "Now this is what I'm going to do for you. Two of you can take the open seats on the 3-6 limit table and the rest can join the list and be seated when space becomes available". Didn't even have the decency to politely tell us they wouldn't be able to meet our request. We left.
Not aware of any comps.
