Joe S. and the new management has literally ruined this place. Arrogance and cockiness are the norm. Scott has turned into a puppet. Rounders was awesome. This place is ridiculously bad!
You take a 5 star restaurant with crazy good clientele and completely change it and shove it down everyone's throats in San Antonio about how great it will be.
You get rid of half the staff that gave everything they had and the friendliest place in SA to constant threats over their jobs. It's disgusting the amount of insider things I've heard and experienced.
Joe and Jesse used to be so friendly and all about people. They've changed! Everything has gone to their head. Anthony has never changed. He's still the most arrogant and cocky person that most have ever come across. None of it is confidence or professionalism from any of them. Because if you have confidence, then there's no need to make threats to peoples jobs or well being. The top three don't have any clue as to what genuine means. They did a great job in Round Rock (probably one of the top 5 clubs in the US), but now, you're awful! The worst part about all of it ... You now turned Scott into your puppet and changed him to be the same person that you are.
Although your only draw is a 6 figure jackpot that is house funded (overinflated fees seat, membership and daily)
Hopefully, Jason, Andrew, Brad, and Doug take a good hard look at the management at The Lodge SA and ask themselves, "Is arrogance, cockiness and micro management the way we want to run our business?"
As Rounders, the games were amazing, and the food was great. The place is always safe and secure and exceptionally clean. Porters are nearly around the clock. And most importantly LOCALLY OWNED
Now, the games are subpar(most capped, because new ownership feels it's in their best interest to keep players in their seats to line their pockets) The menu has completely changed (more expensive and fewer options with much smaller portions)
Tournaments offer more chips higher buyer ins with more taken out and exaggerated payback.
This is what happens when you come in to a larger market of hometown people that have known each other and played with each other for many many years and take something that's great and make it corporate and shove it down everyone's throats.
I hope you miserably fail! We all saw what happened in SA after your first Million Dollar Tournament sucked the entire poker community dry in the Austin/San Antonio markets. All the poker rooms within a 150-mile radius were dreadfully dead for the next 3 weeks.
Hopefully, the San Antonio poker market stands its ground against everything that you stand for. The more people that you screw over will come back and bite you. Poker is a small community, you Joe S have hurt too many people. Maybe the same thing will happen in SA that happened in Austin. A TCH-social comes in and again takes at least half of your business.
Realize that a 6 figure jackpot that is funded by overinflated seat fees and memberships has less than a 0.00000357 to hit in your favor. (Those are exact odds)
There are much better places to play in San Antonio now. SACH, Big Blind, The Royal and a few others. All locally owned and operated.
