Right by the Sports Book and next to the Turf Club Deli for quick eats. I like the room's size, not too big. I was there on Easter weekend and had a great time. They have plasma screens showing all of the high hand jackpots and bonuses as well as an electronic queue system. They also allow you to call in and get your spot in line, which I did twice and saved a lot of time that way.
Depending on the time there are plenty of easy targets out there to be had. Nights and weekends being better of course. There were the smattering of locals there, however I found that even the local's play was not of the caliber of other locals in rooms like the Venetian.
I found almost all of the dealers friendly and helpful. There were a couple that were a little slow because of their age but most were very good. They called all the action and kept the game moving along at a good pace. Overall I like the dealers better here than at the Venetian.
The waitresses were nice, good looking, and reasonably fast. They always got my order right and usually remembered after the first drink what I was having and all I had to do was hold up an empty glass.
I had a great experience with the all of the managers I interacted with at the room. They were very helpful and were always happy to answer questions or assist with a table change. They also explaned the poker room rate in better detail to me than what was on this site. Basically it $100 off the rack rate, unless the rate is less than $200 then it's just $90-$100 per night with 4-5 hours of play to get the rate. So if the room is $400 the poker rate is $300.
The comps for time played were bleh, $5 off at the buffet or the Cafe. The cafe isn't bad but $5 for 4 hours of play isn't bad either. The high hand jackpots, however, are very good. They run on a progressive scale and are seperated by stud and holdem. There has to be $20 called in the pot for the hand to count, and both of your hole cards have to be part of the hand but it doesn't have to go to showdown. I hit the quad 6's jackpot and got $365 plus 250 in the pot from the sucker who called me down on them. The day before that a guy at my table hit the spade royal flush and got paid $1650. The great thing is that they pay it in chips on the spot and allow you to add it to your stack in the game. giving you an even better edge with $800-$1000 in your stack at a $200 buy-in table. The day after I hit my 6's the bonus was down to $22, but I'm told it builds fairly quickly. The heart royal was paying $4000 when I left.
