Mandalay Bay is by far my favorite casino in Las Vegas, and the poker room is not far behind on the list. The room is small, only a dozen or so tables, but they are brand new and are very elegant. The entire casino smells like vanilla perfume and not smoke making it a very comfortable place to play a long session.
Now, despite its elegance and millionaire touristy atmosphere, there were 5 locals at my table, who all knew each other and the dealers on a personal basis. Now this doesn't bother me because the average local player is normally a tight player, so I know to stay out of there way when they come in raising. But I did play here with @#$% Van Patten and Vince van Patten so it was a cool experience.
Dealers were all experienced, friendly and kept the game moving.
Drinks were fast and delivered by well-endowed women.
All I have to say is, the Mandalay Bay has one of the most beautiful poker managers I have ever seen!
Lowsy.
