All these reviews so far are fake and from employees/investors/partners. This place is more of a social club instead of a poker room. Sure, it seems nice but can they run a good poker room? The area doesn't seem too safe either.

jampar,
I am very sorry you feel this way about our family owned business, which does not have any investors or partners. We are located in the Design District! To put into perspective, I can see the Hilton Anatole across Wycliff Ave., as well as the beautiful Dallas skyline from our bar & lounge. We have not yet had our grand opening which is scheduled for July 23rd. We softly opened on July 1, to get staff trained and ready for a full open. You are right to indicate that we are not a poker club, but a broader private club with vastly improved amenities for members including the only spot in Dallas with great games and a full bar & lounge area, free snacks and refreshments, and catered food nearly every day. I would invite you to attend one of our upcoming free roll tournaments, set to begin in the next week, and see how we run our club. I think you will be pleasantly surprised.
As a last thought, keep in mind that as a family owned business with a philanthropic mission in Dallas, all your member fees and hourly charges are net to charity from Peaks’ non-profit business. My name is Eric and I would love to meet you some day. I have personally talked with every new member we have earned to date and the feedback has been phenomenal. Feel free to introduce yourself if you want to come in and give us a try. I would love to change your opinion!
