Physically the room is great, a dedicated restroom and excellent coffee area are big pluses. Chairs and tables are very good but a few chairs need some work done on them. Usually an unused good chair is available.
I was torn as to how to rate the play: The room is populated with passive weak playing regulars who team play (i.e. whipsaw out then slow play each other). They are really very poor players who can be dangerous due to their collusive (cheating) play. Management and dealers ignore this. I once was at a table when an older dealer from one of the most famous card rooms on the strip stopped by and he immediately denounced the slow play for the cheating that it is; the dealer and all the players just ignored him. So be careful but they can be easily beaten.
The Red Rock really has an excellent crew of dealers; their decisions will favor a local if it is a judgment call. I saw a local get away with a string bet (over the objection of a visitor) that would not have been allowed anywhere else.
Cocktails do a good job.
Once again locals are favored in seating and management must be aware of the collusive play problem and does nothing.
