The favoritism towards the locals is ridiculous. My brother and I looked forward to visiting Red Rock for poker during our annual visit to Vegas this week. We were on the list for a new 4/8 Omaha game. When the game was ready to go, the staff announced it and advised to move to the table to lock up a seat. After taking my seat, which was empty and no reservation button, chips, or card was present, the dealer told me she forgot the seat was reserved so I moved to another empty seat so the local reg could have his favorite seat. My brother, who sat in a different seat had a local come up and tell him he was in his seat. My brother obliged and moved to another seat. I mentioned to the dealer that it seemed like the locals all had their favorite seat and she said " yes, the are pretty territorial". If I hadn't finished riding the city bus for almost an hour to get to Red Rock, I would have left immediately. I understand Red Rock loves locals, it even says that on the staff name tags, and I don't fit the preferred demographic as a tourist. On the other hand, the atmosphere in the room was pleasant, other than feeling like I was intruding on someone else's home game and the occasional soft play between the pensioner regs. I won't include Red Rock on my list of places to visit in any future visits.
