Maybe it was worse in 2022 IDK. But I just moved here and this is literally the only place I play. Also, I do not recognize the names given in some of the bad reviews, so there's that. It appears they aren't there anymore.
Listen, if you want a sterile environment with strict dealers that won't let anyone have a good time... and you want to pay $7 rake for some ridiculous bad beat that has worse odds than hitting a jack pot on a slot machine, then don't come here.
However, if you like poker for the POKER and you like a fairly soft game, this is definitely the place. I mean, there are times that if the whole table agrees the dealers will deal various games (bomb pot, omaha, pinneapple etc) you won't get that at these other fancy rip off rooms... I mean poker rooms.
There are only 2 down sides to this poker room that I can think of 1 = getting people in the seats. The Casino has no signs saying "POKER ROOM THIS WAY" which is just weird. I'm starting to think the reviews on this site might also play into it as well.
Don't listen to the bad reviews from 2022, clearly there is new management because I've never had an issue (and I don't recognize the names given in said reviews). It's simply the best game in the city... And also has the lowest rake.
The second down side is that they close at 4am. ;(
