The room quality was low. Very small little corner add on. Not really a room at all. The atmosphere/vibe were very poor.
Very inexperienced players who just happened to stumble into the game mixed with some locals who boisterously considered themselves sharks, despite the fact that they were also terrible players.
In the $40 tournament, I REPEATEDLY had to correct them for OBVIOUS errors. It was mind boggling. My home game is run FAR tighter than this tournament.
Cocktails? What cocktails?
The tournament director (the man who had the final word on all dealer screw-ups, etc.) was playing in the tournament and chopped first place. He was also openly "buddy-buddy" with some of the local regulars. A very shady feeling, to say the least.
