It is my personal opinion that dogs should not be brought to (or allowed in) poker rooms. Yesterday, a player entered the premises with a dog, and was seated to play at a game a few tables away from the one where I was already playing. It became a distraction for me the rest of the session. After eventually cashing out, I spoke to someone at the desk and was told that only "service animals" were permitted. I replied, "That dog is not a service animal." He said, we (the poker room staff) are only permitted to ask patrons the question, "Is that a service animal?" , and if they reply "yes" there is nothing we can do.
I repeat, that dog was NOT a service animal.
