This place has a really soft player pool for low stake cash games. That's if it can ever get a game running. It's quite obvious that they prioritize the tournament play over the cash games seeing as it's their money maker.
They don't offer any food and nor do they have a food runner or partnership with any local restaurants to ensure players are well fed throughout their stay. The tournament rake which has been referenced in other reviews is ridiculous. Especially considering they charge you per entry for you seat rental.
The tournaments were full receiving nearly 100 entrants when this place first opened. Now they'll be lucky to get 15 people to enter the same tournament. This just speaks to the lack of improvements and the facility being poorly managed. There are no lounge areas or anything to occupy your attention if you aren't playing at the tables. This place very regularly struggles to get a full ring cash table up and running. This proves true even on weekends since this establishment again prioritizes their resources towards tournaments cash games don't get going until 9:00pm and are very short lived. I have visited on multiple occasions and this almost always requires a drive from Nashville, which has consistently proven not to be worth the hassle.
At one point this place looked to be getting off the ground and they had a fairly consistent player pool. Unfortunately they did not focus on catering to this customer base and now everyone essentially boycotts the place. This place has enormous potential but until they prioritize customer satisfaction they will continue to suffer and potentially disappear into oblivion. Right now they make do since there is no competition in the area, but they should not continue utilizing that as their main selling point. Since In the near future that may not be the case. All in all don't waste your time if your traveling from Nashville. It is currently not worth the gas

Hi dripszn1 - thanks for your review, and apologies for not responding sooner. We only recently received access to the ability to respond to reviews. The title of your review is on point - there definitely IS a lot of work to be done. I want to address some of your points, since we are changing a lot as we learn and grow.
Our tournament fees have been updated in some events, and we are constantly re-evaluating and making adjustments. We recently updated our Monday event by increasing the ratio of how much of the buy-in goes toward the prize pool.
Tournaments are more demand than we expected, too. We initially offered 1 tournament a week and increased based on member requests. However, I’m not sure why you say that we were getting almost 100 entries in our tournaments. That is not accurate. Our tournaments are almost always in the 20-40 entry range, with a couple of outliers. This has been fairly consistent since open. Please let us know if you are getting contrary information elsewhere - the only place with correct and up-to-date information is our PokerAtlas page.
Regarding lounge area/other activities - we hear you loud and clear! We still need to work on a lounge area, but in the meantime we have cornhole, darts, billiards, and a video gaming area available if you are waiting for a seat or simply want something else to do. These other services are all currently free and included with membership.
In terms of cash game volume, we, like any new business, have a lot of volatility in our daily volume. I’m sorry to hear that the times you came weren’t busy. That being said, a cash game runs past midnight nearly every single day, and fairly often goes until 2-4am. We don’t frequently get two tables, but are seeing an increase in traffic. Last night (Friday) we had two tables from 7pm to about 2am, and our last table didn’t break until 4:30am.
We recognize that we are still very new, with many growing pains and a lot of improvements to make. Here’s what we’re prioritizing most right now:
- More comfortable chairs (and a dedicated lounge area)
- Food service (right now we usually only have food on Fridays, but will be expanding that)
- Cash game promotions (we currently have a Monday early bird special of $1/hour from 5pm-7pm)
- ATM in the room so players don’t need to leave and come backWe are a very small team, and management routinely has to work multiple roles as staffing has proved challenging. Because of this we are very limited in how much we can change at the same time, but we’re determined to make the club as good as it can be, so if you have any other suggestions for improvements, we’d love to hear from you directly at office@triplebarrelsocial.com. Thank you again for taking the time to write your review!
