Well, it is the IP, so it is not confused with a luxury joint like Caesars or a value casino like Harrah's. The place is a dump.
HOWEVER, the poker has huge tables, new felt, comfortable chairs, plenty of room, and minimal wait time. As long as the felt is clean and the room is well lit, I'm happy. Yeah, the tables don't have a cup holder, but since they have big tables, you have plenty of room to place the drink on a napkin on the table
If you like to play like they do on TV and make a lot of bluffs, say goodbye to your money. However, if you are patient and bet with the best hand, you will definitely win in the long run.
FYI. I also saw one of the local pro's mentioned in another post. They're ususally pretty easy to pick out. Just look for the guys who don't smile and who look genuinely angry to be playing.
I had the chance to see Gregg in action, and I have to say that guy is awesome. Easily the fasted dealer I have every seen, and he has been doing it for only 6 months. he keeps the game moving so you get to see more hands. Overall, everyone there is very friendly, even laughing at my terrible jokes.
Well, considering I don't get drinks when I play, I am not really sure. They seemed to be fast. Additionally they are very good looking and if I had any guts, I would definitely make an @#$% of myself and hit on them.
Easily the weakest link in the room. They do maintain a list, but basically you as the player better make sure you look for empty seats, as management doesn't really look for them.
Where else can you and your buddy eat for free and earn enough $ to actually pay for a good amount of your room?
