Tournament at Imperial Palace

I played at a $55 rebuy tournament at Imperial Palace. I found the room very cheap and makeshift. They roped off a section just outside of the sportsbook and had tables which were of very low construction quality (I have a better one in my basement). The televisions located in the poker area were also old and the rear-projection square TV's.

I don't really have much to compare it to, but there seemed to be a lot of first-time players. People were staying in on all flops and calling just about everything.

Dealers were nothing great, but they did not make mistakes and kept the game moving along. But overall, not a lot of interaction with the players.

They did have waitresses frequently coming around to make sure everyone who wanted a beverage, had one. Waitresses were older, but what I expected. Drinks were served timely and correcty.

Once again, nothing really to compare it to, but everything seemed well organized.

They had a raffle which seemed like a good deal, but the catch was you had to be present to win it. The tournament started at 7pm and the raffle was not until midnite (long after the tournament was over). But the idea was to keep people up there playing, but they were only drawing one number.
