TI's poker room was the first real poker room that I have played in and it was just how others have described it on this site. The room was a little small but the tables were in good shape, chairs fairly comfortable and the room had a fun atmosphere to it.
It seemed as though most of the players were tourists but there were definitely some locals there. They were on a first name basis with the staff. Definitely a mix of solid players and weaker ones with most in the average area. I played $1-$2 NL.
Almost all the dealers I had did a very good job. They always asked a player for their player's card when they sat down. They were friendly and super appreciative of the tips they received. Only one minor mistake while playing 20 hours here.
I didn't order that many drinks while playing but the waitresses seemed to come by frequently and got the drinks out in a timely fashion.
Management did a nice job. The players list is well posted and players were called prompltly to fill seats. They were friendly and did answer most questions. I did ask about receiving a room rate while I was there and told I needed to do that before I came down. I had called before my trip but was never advised I had to book it through anyone. It was like if I played 8 hours I would get the rate. I was then put on the phone with someone else. Very confusing to me just to get a rate which didn't appear to really be saving me any money...but anyway. Other than this they did a nice job.
$2 an hour comps. I only can compare that to the Venitian which gave me $1.50 per hour. They have straight flush jackpots, Quads of the day and 5 times a day they have a bonus splashpot to a table. Unfortunately my friend hit his royal flush at the Venitian and won a jacket instead of $2500 at TI.
