The Island of Treasures!

The room had a great vibe about it. The lighting and decor was inviting and relaxing. The room wasn't too big or too small, and there was plenty of room between tables. I did notice one seat to be a little more cramped than others: the 7 and/or 8 seats on table 1. The back of the chair is not too far from a wall, and there seemed to be significant traffic behind this chair: management going to and from the front desk; and waitresses using it as a path from table to table.

The room is inviting to many tourists. There is a small cast of regulars, locals, and grinders. It is quite hard to find yourself at a table with more than 3 of the afforementioned group. At any given time your likely to find 6 or 7 tourists at a full game.

The dealers were so close to perfect. They had the perfect combination of being professional and socialble. They called the floor when they thought it was necessary and were very polite at all times. I did see a few misdeals, etc. But they were so infrequent that I didn't think twice about them. There was one incident that did cause me annoyance. I was involved in a splash pot. The employee brought the envelope over, opened it, looked at it, and said something along the lines of, "It's plenty big." What am I supposed to do with this information? Can I really ignore it? Is he more or less likely to be telling the truth or being sarcastic? I made the mistake of taking some truth from his comment and subsequently played the hand differently thinking there was 500 to 1k in the envelope, thereby changing the odds on all my actions. I win the splash pot and find out that it is $25. Perhaps not opening it and making a comment before the hand is over would be more appropriate.

The cocktail waitresses were not bad to look at, but they were also not super models. However, their friendliness and frequent visits more than compensated. I felt well taken care of in their hands.

The room was extremely well-managed. The managers were polite, direct, and professional.

$2/hr is, of course, great. I eagerly used the comps to pay for food and drinks in the hotel. I have heard through the grapevine that comps will soon be able to be used towards the spa. I think this is a wonderful idea, and if it helps to hear someone else say it, I would definately use the comps towards the spa if I were to return.
