Room is beautiful, well spread-out and holding 40 tables plus high limit area!
On the downside it is dead dead dead. On a Wednesday night at 12:30 am, there were only two tables going. Dealers outnumbered players 2-1.
On Friday afternoon crowd was much better but still <10 tables.
Good mix of strong players and conventioneers. There were a couple guys who were simply KILLING the game (ie >$2500 in chips at a 2-5 table with $500 buy in). Lots of donkeys funding them too.
Generally quite good, although a little dispirited because of the lack of action. One dealer told me he had been there almost 12 hours and made less than $30 - that's not going to keep the better dealers around for long.
Simply amazing. Beautiful, friendly and eager to please. Remembered drink orders and brought refills of top-shelf cocktails without being asked. Magic.
Good rapport with players, helped with comps (see below), but they had lots time with so few players
Several players got comped lunches from delicious coffee shop in hotel - served in nice laquer boxes.
I was told that free-rolls for locals and bad beat funded by casino (not players) will be introduced next month to encourage traffic.
