On one hand, the room is a comfortable place to play. The DSE (Deep Stack Extravaganza) tournament brought many more side games, so games of many stripes were available and even with a list, it was not long before getting into games. OTOH, the tournament left the room extremely short staffed. Chip runners were scarce, as was other service. The chairs, while comfortable, were getting well-worn. And many cash games were being spread on tables that are typically used for daily tournaments and consequently had no shufflers.
Soft, soft games, at least at the $4/$8 limit level. Lots of tourists, along with some locals that were pure calling stations. You'll take some nasty beats, but this game, at least, is definitely profitable.
I saw lots and lots of inexperience. But to be fair, it's likely because of the DSE. A saw pots being pushed to the wrong person, mechanics suffering, and often a slow, slow pitch. Some dealers seemed unaware of room procedures. I saw occasional fumbling of decks, requiring reshuffles.
Again, likely because of the DSE, waitresses were few and far between. You get top bottled water, although the one I got wasn't cold.
The freneticness of the DSE meant that management was always hopping. The front desk only marginally controlled the madness around it.
$1/hour, and it's good forever. You ned to get a skip to take a comp out of the poker room, but inside, such as to order food, you can use your card. All time is clocked at the table with Genesis Bravo, and dealers are good at asking for cards when new players sit down.
