Like the rest of the Venetian, the poker room is absolutely gorgeous! The tables and chairs couldn't be more comfortable! The room has a lot of LCD screens built in to the walls for sporting event viewing. Waiting for a seat?... the poker room has a waiting area with couches that are so comfortable that I would have liked to take one home with me! One word... this room was PLUSH! Although it wasn't completely seperated from the rest of the casino, it gave the feel that it was it's own space.
Most of the players I encountered were fairly skilled players... some of them were exceptional. During the time I played there (approximately 16 hours over two days), I experienced both conservative play as well as aggressive if not flat out bullying play. The aggressive play occured most often in the evening/morning hours and usually got squashed by skilled players.
I don't have much to say about the dealers. They were efficient and professional. All had decent personalities... not necessarily memorable or funny... just good effective dealers.
I am mixed on this one... It should really be two rating numbers, one for how attractive the waitresses were and one for the service. As far as how attractive they were... HELLO!!! To be a poker waitress at the Venetianm don't bother submitting a resume unless you are a minimum of an 8! Slip those gorgeous bodies into hands down the most seductive costumes of the poker rooms I visited and who cares about the service! Drink? Did I order a drink? ... Oh, it's my turn... my bad!
I don't drink while I play poker, so I am not qualified to comment on the quality of the drinks. I did have several Red Bulls which were delivered in the can with a glass full of ice. I did notice that it took some time to make and recieve a cocktail order, but I suspect that it was mostly due to the distance from the poker room to the bar. For this reason I would give the service a 3 and the attractiveness a 5+++++ for an average of 4.
This was a very well managed poker room. They even had poker classes available. Everything was easy and the wait to get on a table was reasonable (no more than 15-30 minutes at worst). The management at this poker room is second only to the my local casino's poker room.
The only jackpot they offer is completely funded by the casino. It is four 10's or better beaten. I never got a players card, but I understand that they give $1 comp per hour of play
