Physically, a superb room. Open to the casino, roomy, comfortable. Best tables I saw in Vegas; comfortable rail, drinkholders, striking felt design/quality, and I think they're a tad wider; certainly felt more comfortable.
I only played 4/8...but was one of the softest tables I played on the trip. And that's saying something. Tourista central. Maybe I just got lucky with a particularly good game.
I don't remember any gaffes; that in itself meant they were above average.
I only drink water at the table, so I don't have much to go on. but their bottled water is bigger than most others, so another upcheck. Hot waitresses as well.
Here's my one gripe about the V: I was in town to play 8/16 and/or 10/20. I came here at 11pm on a Saturday night fully expecting that if the 9/18 ever went at all, it would be going now. Nope. 4/8 was highest going. Not sure that management taking a hit on this is fully appropriate, but it seems to fit here better than elsewhere. Bottom line: in my opinion, Venetian won't take it's rightful place alongside Bellagio and Wynn as a top Vegas poker room until a lower-mid-limit player can come here KNOWING that @#$% find his game (something 8/16 through 15-30). Until I have that confidence at the V, Wynn will always shine brighter in my Vegas Poker Universe.
Best hourly comp I've seen anywhere; Vegas or otherwise. I think I was quoted $2/hour.
