The room is nice, plush and very comfortable. The atmosphere is one of the best in Las Vegas.
The 2/5 NL game is a Berry Patch during the week.
Great dealers when they are dealing. When they are playing, so/so.
Great talent and service, although I don't drink alcohol when playing, the Perrier with lime was perfect.
Okay. Time to admit I made a huge mistake when playing last time at the Venetian, and the management handled it GREAT (2/5 NL). I had KK in the BB and another player (named Doc) had what I later learned was KJ suited. He raised to $25 in the 4th position and I re-raised to $65. He called. The flop came Ad-Ac-Ah. I checked, he bet $125, I called. The turn was 7s. I bet $200, he raised to $400. I called and flipped my KK over, thinking the 7s was the river. Obviously, I had the second nuts, but he was upset because he had been "representing an ace." The manager come over and made us play the river with my KK exposed, but live. The river was a blank (3s i think) and I checked out of respect for my erroneous play. Doc mucked his hand. Some of the players thought I turned my KK up to get info as to whether or not Doc had the case ace, but it was truely a mistake. The room manager handled it perfectly. Doc was not mad, after all, my mistake saved him his last $1000, as I was calling him with any bet he made.
$4 an hour on the Player's Card, I believe.
