At the new poker room in the sports book, I would say it is extremely likely to bring in large action once football season starts. The games are by no means big, the only games running so far are $1/$2, but i have been here 4-5 times since open, and the games have been great. It is a much more gambler friendly atmosphere than most rooms, constant $100 buy ins from tourists, that just want to gamble. There is ALWAYS 1 table running of 200 max, $1/$2. The dealers vary depending on who you get, but are very consistent. Some dealers just call floor and don't want to deal with the situation, some dealers are very focused on the action, and some are totally oblivious and more interested in conversation, which in my opinion is a good mix to have, because it brings variety to the session. I would say that the most hands an hour if that's what you are looking for would be CJ. It is crazy too, even with drunk guys hitting on her, she still got good hands per hour, and had instant knowledge of stack sizes, and so forth.
The good: The Bad:
- Drinks/service - NO big games whatsoever yet
- Dealer variety - Late games slow
- Management - Dead after sportsbook closes
- Loose games - Comps weak for now
- Constant $1/$2 with good action
All in all a pretty decent room, free of smoke for the most part, and has friendly people all around. 4/5 overall, would be 5/5 if bigger action, and more consistancy on tables.
