ENCORE loses money on tournements and turns a slight profit on cash games. Encore Management group HATES the poker room. The initial agreement with the city of Everett prevents any above ground parking garages and the lot across the street is privately owned. Encore has roughly 3400 parking spots below the casino and feel the tournements would bomb the parking lot.
Is there an employee shortage? Yes. Shocking that when free money is offered, people would rather not work vs work lol.
But that won't last forever.
Massgaming.com/contact. Fill out the form. File a complaint. Encore wants more slots and table games as those are the money makers. Doesn't help the residents of Massachusetts however as they're all house favored games. 3% or less are yearly winners.
It's @#$% for Encore to be holding the poker license and using it in such a poor way.
This isn't completely Encores fault. Yes greed is in the way here but they are a Casino, so they're in the business of being greedy.
We either need Massachusetts to force Encore to give back to the community and offer games that don't just take everyone's money with a push of a button OR push Massachusetts to license a poker room elsewhere.
So complain complain complain until something changes.
Encore is a billion dollar company. They could employ hundreds of dealers/floor managers/cage employees ect. And figure out the parking situation. They seem to only be interested in quick wins not long term wins.
If Massachusetts / Everett wants to be dicks about the above ground parking garages then give another business the license to run a poker rook in a warehouse.
Charge us for drinks to make the room more profitable. What they're doing right now is just plain lazy. Was an incredible room before. Now it's just sad
