Hello.
My wife and I were visiting from Jacksonville.
While the inside of the casino was nice, it looks worn by about fifteen years, not the five years it's been opened.
Floor staff seemed lethargic, and somewhat sedated, not as sharp as we expected them to be.
Half of the dealers were professional, moving things along nicely, but the other half were really bad.
These dealers demanded the attention be directed at them, like they were the source of our entertainment, and the star of the show. It was very off putting, and quite the turn off.
I saw a few dealers getting visibly upset when a player didn't tip a pot, making sure to bang the next chip tipped, loudly on the card shuffler and exclaim 'Thank You'. It's not something that I usually see from dealers in reputable card rooms.
My wife, and I are recreational players, so we play for the enjoyment of the game, however the rake imposed makes the game very difficult to beat over the long term. The added promo drops definitely don't help. That being said, we were quite surprised to see obvious grinders attempting to overcome this. Godspeed, novice warriors, Godspeed.
Dealers did make quite a few mistakes while we were playing. Taking $10 out of a pot of $99, and also dropping the extra $1 promo after the high hand had ended. Players should be more aware of this.
We may return on our next visit to New England (if they're still open), or maybe try another place. We'll see.
