Above average, although pretty crowded. For some reason, I've never warmed up to this place after 3 visits. I come here to lose money and be annoyed by drunks.
I've lost money here on all three occasions. I seem to get whip-sawed between the fish and the sharks... I've tried to take advantage of the fish, but ultimately get taken by the sharks. I'd say the "average" player is a middle aged guy who's played a lot of poker -- style of play varies, but these guys have seen a poker room plently of times before.
Average, like the rest of the room...good but nothing to rave about. I have to nick them a bit for letting the drunks control the table -- they're slow to step in and keep the action moving, or to put an end to the shennanigans.
Apparently really good, judging by the number of guys falling out of their chairs.
There's never anyone at the desk. You mill around for a while until somebody notices. Poor game selection -- on a busy weeknight, they had exactly one $3/6 limit going. No seat ever opened, and I ended up playing $1/2NL for way too long (I prefer limit). On the three occasions I've played at Mirage, there have been altercations at the table involving and abusive drunk -- I've seen things get really out of hand. In each case, the floor manager was slow and wishy-washy about fixing the problem. For a classy hotel, I think this is inexcusable.
Didn't ask.
