My Home Away From Home in Las Vegas

Very comfortable. The tables were a bit cramped, but part of that was the fact that the poker rooms were full in general due to the WSOP. There was a very good vibe to this room. I always felt comfortable, welcome, and that helped me play better (I won more than I should have). All the games where I had the most fun and won the most were all here.

A great mix of locals and tourists. The locals and dealers playing I kept seeing night after night recognized me and respected my play and complimented me more than once. Some players who 'knew' how to play the game (they kept reminding the other players of this) kept trying to justify how they were losing to me. I don't know...flopping 8s full and slowplaying to let the hyperagressive Gus Hansen-wannabes bet my hands for me, so I can milk them for more chips, is bad play, so they told me. They didn't mention that I took about $100 from them when I did this. The 6-12 game was VERY profitable, I never played it without winning at least $150 or more, and I was buying in for $200.

Great dealers, very friendly, kept games fast and fun. They were a little tired, but again it was the end of the WSOP. Just a couple of misdeals, nothing major. Jerry, Joy, Craig, Chris, and Vicki were the five I remember most, but there were so many more there are just too many to mention, I just had them dealing at tables I played the most.

The room was crowded every night I was there, but they were good about getting drinks quickly. After awhile, they knew to ask if I wanted Diet Coke or coffee...I guess I was there a lot LOL. If Kimmi is serving your table, you'll get your drinks very quickly, and she'll remember what you're having.

I played the majority of my vacation there, and they recognize that and make every effort to get you the games you want, and get you seated ASAP. Sherry and Danielle both remembered me by name, and both tried to get me seated and get chips for me ASAP. My only complaint was that they did seem overworked in the evenings. They definitely need another person working in the evenings, but during the day, they are fine.

They still have the $15 food comps, and the poker room rate is $99 a night Sun-Thurs for six hrs of play. I should have stayed there, I would have qualified easily...lol.
